With Ebola in the news, many are wondering if using colloidal silver for Ebola is a good idea or not. Of course, as always you can find all kinds of conflicting information online, some pseudo-scientific, some nothing more than end-of-the-world scare tactics, and occasionally a common sense look at the subject.
Hoping to come in on the side of common sense, without making any guarantees or raising false expectations, we decided to look at the whole topic of whether colloidal silver might be useful in treating not only Ebola, but things like MRSA, swine flu, bird flu and EV-68.
Ebola is a virus, and since colloidal silver is a known anti-viral, one might assume that ingesting colloidal silver for Ebola would be a good idea. You’d be half-right. From all of the research I’ve been able to find, it appears that according to a study done by the Department of Defense on using colloidal silver for Ebola, timing of the treatment in relation to exposure and infection is the main factor in a successful outcome.
Unlike other infections and disease which respond well to colloidal silver, Ebola responds best when colloidal silver is used as a preventative measure before or immediately upon exposure. So, taking a preventative dose of colloidal silver before possible exposure, and then upping the daily dose immediately after exposure is what the “experts” recommend.
However, just gulping down colloidal silver once you become symptomatic may be totally ineffective. Once the virus gets a good foothold and has replicated freely, even colloidal silver will be unable to destroy the virus.
Both the scientific and empirical evidence confirms that when colloidal silver is used for MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) the results are not just good, but life saving.
Clinical studies have primarily focused on using colloidal silver in conjunction with strong antibiotics that by themselves were proving ineffective in treating MRSA. However, once the colloidal silver was added the change was immediate.
Empirical evidence or testimonials to the effectiveness of using colloidal silver for MRSA abound, often being used once medical care has been withdrawn and the patient condemned to an agonizing death.
In these cases, the treatment ranged from a couple of drops of colloidal silver under the tongue every waking hour, to ingesting a ¼ cup of colloidal silver several times per day. In all cases, in a matter of days lab work showed no residual presence of staph in the system.
This list is a combination of those ailments and diseases for which colloidal silver was used prior to 1938. Those in bold are those which have been added by the FDA since 1938, while those italicized conditions come from the book ‘Antibiotic Superhero’ by Johnny Superseed. The common name has been added for clarification :-
You can see from this long list that while colloidal silver for Ebola may not be the answer once the disease has taken hold, it definitely has numerous uses, especially for your survival and preparedness medical kit.
